《马克思主义原理》(修订本)教材(以下简称《原理》)如何贯彻党的十四大精神,这不只是对《原理》的个别内容作一些补充和修改,更重要的是要站在党的十四大所确立和系统阐明的建设有中国特色社会主义理论的高度,来全面审视《原理》,进一步明确它的主线、内容、体系和实际指向。就是说《原理》教材应在注意本学科的对象、功能和特点的同时,要着力阐述建设有中国特色社会主义理论所依据和应用的马克思主义基本原理,特别是深入阐述这个理论在丰富和发展马克思主义方面的一系列新的思想观点。这是我们修订《原理》的一个重要指导原则。这次修订,主要在以下几个方面有所明确和加强。
