在我国教育现代化过程中,国语(文)教科书选录外国翻译作品是一个具有标志性意义的事件。造成这一事件的根本原因在于近现代社会文化的变革。这种变革反映在教育领域,表现为教育话语的变迁。近现代主流教育话语主要经历了清末的“中体西用”话语和“五四”前后的“启蒙”话语。这两种话语促成了国语(文)教科书对外国翻译作品的选录。反过来,入选教科书的外国翻译作品也参与了近现代社会文化的变革,参与了对近现代社会的发展和国民性格的塑造,这对当前的语文教科书编辑有很强的启示意义。
In the process of educational modernization in our country, the selection of foreign translated works in Chinese textbooks is an event of landmark significance. The root cause of this incident lies in the transformation of modern social culture. This change is reflected in the field of education, manifested as changes in educational discourse. Modern mainstream discourse of education mainly experienced in the late Qing Dynasty “China in Western use ” discourse and “Enlightenment ” discourse before and after May Fourth Movement. Both of these words led to the selection of a foreign language translation of the Mandarin (text) textbook. Conversely, foreign translated works selected for textbooks are also involved in the cultural changes in modern society, involved in the development of modern society and the shaping of national character, which is of great enlightenment to the current Chinese textbook editors.
