当代人文主义地理学家段义孚关注人的终极命运,以人之生存为核心研究人与环境的关系。他一方面认为,环境建构中,脱离道德的人类想象力会导致种种恶果;另一方面提倡在道德规范之下,人类通过想象力创建注重人性化、内在道德美和通向真实感的人工景观以及有助于升华人性和敦化风俗的艺术世界,体现了段义孚主张想象力与道德平衡的生态伦理观。
The contemporary humanist geographer, Yiu Fai, pays close attention to the ultimate destiny of man and studies the relationship between man and the environment with the survival of man as the core. On the one hand, he believes that in the construction of the environment, the moral imagination of human beings can lead to evil consequences. On the other hand, under the moral norms, human beings are encouraged to create artificial landscapes that focus on humanity, internal moral beauty and realistic sense through the imagination. It helps to sublimate the art world of humanity and Dunhua customs, embodies the Yi-Fu Yi advocates ecological ethics of imagination and moral balance.
