英语全球化和本土化是当前英语发展的两种趋势,面对中西方两种文化的冲撞,如何既保持文化的独立又能达到跨文化交流,是目前英语教育中所面临的现实问题。新世纪以来,世界各国之间的贸易关系日趋紧密。为紧随世界步伐,中国也成功加入WTO(世界贸易组织),这对中国经济而言,既是挑战又是机会。要想在国际市场中谋求生存和发展,中国需要一大批具有精通世界贸易协议、规则和程序的以及英语实际应用能力的复合型人才。
English globalization and localization are the two trends in current English development. In the face of the collision between Chinese and Western cultures, how to maintain cultural independence and achieve intercultural communication are the realistic problems facing English education at present. Since the new century, the trade relations among various countries in the world have become increasingly closer. To follow the pace of the world, China has also successfully acceded to the WTO (World Trade Organization), which is both a challenge and an opportunity for the Chinese economy. In order to survive and develop in the international market, China needs a large number of compound talents with proficient in world trade agreements, rules and procedures as well as the practical application of English.
