贵阳的早餐虽让人垂涎,但遍布贵阳市很多成行成市小吃街,就更让人神往。炸臭豆腐、炒洋芋丝、恋爱豆腐果、烤肉串、丝娃娃、绿豆汤应有尽有,其中以恋爱豆腐果、丝娃娃和炒洋芋丝最为经典。恋爱豆腐果得名于一个爱情故事,据说有一对经常吵架恋人,特别喜欢吃这个小吃,只有在吃这种小吃的时候,他们才回复恩爱状态,后来,来吃这种小吃的大多都是成双成对的恋人,所以就美其名曰:恋爱豆腐果。它是由一块块白色豆腐经炭火考熟而成,中间要加入贵阳人用折耳根(鱼腥草)特制的辣椒水,外脆里嫩,又辣又香,成为贵阳的特色小吃之一。在贵阳时代广场旁边的正新路,小十字贵阳电影院旁边的白沙巷和大西门星力百货旁边的小吃街都可吃到正宗的恋爱豆腐果。
