在江苏新海連市、安徽宿松,在結晶片岩系中有規模很大的磷块岩矿床。湖北孝感、內蒙集宁丰鎭、东北鳳城及陝西蘭叶等地的片岩系中,也相繼发現了含磷层。在国外,苏联西们利亞的斯留殿斯卡、朝鮮的永柔、越南的老街(层位尚未完全肯定),也有类似的磷块岩矿床。这类矿床分布很广,在我国北方目前缺少璘矿的情况下,注意这类矿床的找寻就很有意
