2002年8月,浙江省药品监督管理局原局长周航因受贿折合人民币约400万元被判死缓,成为中国首个落马的省药监局局长。经法院审理查明,周航自1988年2月至2001年10月间,先后担任过浙江省计划经济委员会办公室主任、工业综合办公室主任,省计经委委员、党组成员;浙江省人民政府副秘书长、办公厅党组成员;浙江省医药管理局局长、党组书记及浙江省药品监督管理局局长、党组书记。周航利用担任上述职务便利,在工程承包、工作调动、职务提拔等事项上为他人谋取利益,收受56人贿赂188次。

Zhou Hang used his position as a facilitator to seek benefits for others on project contracting, job transfer and job promotion, and received 56 bribes 188 times.
