自古以来,运动便是锻炼身体增进健康的重要方式。许多老年人通过合理、适度的锻炼,既健康又长寿,成了著名的寿星。什么是合理与适度的运动呢?运动将给机体生理带来哪些影响?这就需要监测运动对健康影响的客观指标。对素无运动而又决定开始锻炼身体的老年人,为取舍合理运动项目,调整适宜运动量,这种自我监测显得更为重要。在开始运动前,测定并记录心率、呼吸次数、胸围、胸围呼吸差、体重及腹围等基本指标。也应到医院测量或检查血压、肺活量与心电图,对食欲、睡眠、疲劳、头痛、腰腿疼痛、四肢麻木及便秘等主观感觉都一一记录。可以一个月记录并对比分析一次,以观察运动对增进健康的作用。
