瑞士联邦是个自然资源匮乏之国,经济发展的支柱主要是进出口贸易,其中57%的产品向欧盟诸国出口,国内的73%进口产品也是来自欧州国家。瑞士长期以来是无失业的国家,但90年代初曾一度创造了失业人口新纪录,即使到了1995年失业率平均为4%。由于瑞士实行联邦制,下设26个州,个别州失业率为7%左右。历史发展的特殊现象,瑞士就业人口占总人口700余万的50.9%,而外国人和移民又占就业人数的28%(1993年统计)。所以失业比例以外国人为主。
The Swiss Confederation is a country lacking natural resources. The mainstay of its economic development is its import and export trade. 57% of its products are exported to EU countries and 73% of the country’s imports are also from European countries.
