清代梁同书《直语补证》专补翟灏《通俗编》之缺,《通俗编》已收录而《直语补证》重加讨论的词目共计65条。其中《直语补证》为《通俗编》补充书证者26条,上推词源者3条,为释义作补充及增加新义项者18条,解决词条立目、词目与书证不符等相关问题者2条,与《通俗编》所讨论的内容互有交叉因而需要注意者2条。《直语补证》新增词与成语中,当代辞书未收录者46条,书证过晚者13条,释义方面有所不足者9条,《直语补证》均可补之。《直语补证》在《通俗编》已收的基础上而重加讨论的词条中,有14条在不同方面存在一些问题,有些问题《通俗编》也同时存在。对《直语补证》作穷尽性研究有助于深入认识其学术价值。

The exhaustive study of “Straight-language Supplementary Card” helps to understand its academic value.
