In 1937, after the “8.13” War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in Shanghai, Japanese aggressors occupied Zhabei, Pudong, Nanshi, Hongkou and Yangshupu in Shanghai, and the concession area in Shanghai became an isolated island. Newspapers in Shanghai, such as “Shenbao,” “Newspaper,” “Grand Evening News,” “Current Affairs Newspaper,” and so on, in order to prevent the intervention of the Japanese invaders, are hanging on the signs of foreign-owned newspapers. The Shanghai branch of the Central News Agency, run by the Kuomintang, also evacuated Shanghai. At that time, the leader of the underground party in Shanghai, Yi-qun, and other comrades, in order to draw on important information, established a news agency with him in Shanghai’s isolated island, with Wu Zhongyi, former vice president of Shanghai Xin Sheng Communications. Wu Zhongyi’s uncle, Fan Jingmin, was commissioned by General Feng Yu-xiang in 1930 to set up a large and medium news agency in Shanghai and was suspended after the failure of Feng Jun because of financial difficulties. Wu Zhongyi followed the news agency name of Dazhong News Agency, but his internal affairs have nothing to do with his uncle. After they were properly planned, Wu and Wu resumed the press release of Dazhong News Agency in August 1939. The site is located on the fifth floor of the Shanghai Museum (then called Zhong Hui Building) at the junction of present-day Yan’an East Road in Henan. The sign of the Economic Yearbook Editor is hung in front of the office. The news agency is headed by Wu Zhongyi, The atrocities perpetrated by the enemy in the enemy-occupied areas and the heroic deeds of our army fighting the Japanese invaders. After the news agency sent its manuscripts, because the contents of the manuscript repeatedly went on to crack down on the false propaganda of the enemy and the puppet, exposing the crimes of the enemy and the puppet in the occupied areas, they hated the enemy. In September 1939, officers and pseudo-secret agents sent out threats of intimidation and threatened that no personnel in the society should send further anti-Japanese manuscripts.
