Researchers at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in Spain produced red, green and blue lasers simultaneously from a 1 338 nm fundamental wave of a single neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum borate (Nd: YAl3 (BO3) 4) crystal. Red light (669nm) is obtained by fundamental frequency doubling. Green light (50 5 nm) and blue light (481 nm) are obtained from the mixing of the laser with the fundamental from the tunable Ti: sapphire pumped 80 7nm and 755nm lasers. 5 mm long
