姜礼尚于1935年出生于上海市。1952年考入北京大学数学系。1957年为北京大学数学系偏微分方程研究生,1961年春留校工作。长期从事偏微分方程理论与应用研究。1988~2001年任Journal of Partial Differential Equations主编。1989~1996年任苏州大学校长。1997年调入同济大学。姜礼尚长期从事偏微分方程理论及其应用领域的研究。他在自由边界问题的理论及其相关的控制问题以及偏微分方程在渗流、金融等应用领域进行了深入地研究并做出了杰出贡献。
Jiang Li was born in 1935 in Shanghai. In 1952 admitted to Peking University Department of mathematics. In 1957 for Peking University Department of mathematics, partial differential equation graduate student, 1961 spring school work. Long engaged in the theory and application of partial differential equations. 1988-2001 editor of Journal of Partial Differential Equations. 1989 to 1996 as president of Suzhou University. In 1997 transferred to Tongji University. Jiang Li Shang Shang has long been engaged in the theory of partial differential equations and its application areas. His research on the theory of free boundary problem and its related control problems as well as the application of PDE in percolation, finance and other fields made an in-depth study and made outstanding contributions.
