According to incomplete statistics, the national thermal power plant discharges 37 million tons of fly ash annually. Except for a small amount (about 10%) used for making bricks, producing cement, and experimentally improving soils, a large number of them are discharged into rivers, put into the atmosphere, and accumulate in the ash dumps, polluting the environment.
