This article discusses the effects of chemical heat treatment on the corrosion resistance of carbon steels in organic acids, mineral acids, salts and alkaline solutions and explores the possibility of replacing the stainless steel with a carbon or low alloy steel covered with a diffusion barrier. The chemical heat treatment is carried out in a closed box as shown in Table 1. Corrosion loss is assessed according to corrosion resistance. Use unprotected corresponding carbon steel (original state) and 1cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel samples as a control sample.
