大连港位于辽东半岛南端,面向黄海,三面陆地环绕,海阔水深,是我国北方一个不淤不冻的天然良港,是东北地区与华东、华南等地区水陆联运的重要枢纽。大连港铁路公司则是港务局集管理、生产双重职能并担负本港5个港务公司及9个厂矿专用线货物运输中转任务的直属单位。 该公司是随着港口飞速发展不断成长起来的。公司原直属沈阳铁路局管理,当时只有职工400余名,5台小型蒸汽机车,60余辆30吨自备车,线路总长也只有105公里,年装卸车仅17万余辆。1958年8月12日全部移交给大连港后,为了振兴港口运输事业,充分发挥铁路运输动脉的作用,经过几次更新改造和扩建新建,公司不断地发展壮大。
Dalian Port is located at the southern tip of Liaodong Peninsula, facing the Yellow Sea. The Dalian Port Railway Corporation is an entity directly under the management of the Port Authority that manages and produces dual functions and is responsible for the transit tasks of five port companies in Hong Kong and 9 factories and mines. The company is growing with the rapid development of the port. The company was directly under the management of Shenyang Railway Bureau. At that time, there were only 400 workers, 5 small steam locomotives and more than 60 30-ton self-provided cars. The total length of the line was only 105 km and the number of annual loading and unloading trucks was only 170,000. After all was transferred to Dalian Port on August 12, 1958, in order to rejuvenate the port transport business and give full play to the role of railway transport artery, the company continued to grow and develop after several renovations, renovation and expansion.
