The crystal structure of the title compound (C16H17NO5) has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal is of monoclinic, space group C2/c with a = 18.520(2), b = 7.8910(1), c = 21.728(3)(A), ( = 104.77(1)o, V = 3070.4(7)(A)3, Mr = 303.31, Z = 8, Dc = 1.312 g/cm3, ( = 0.71073(A), ((MoK() = 0.098 mm-1 and F(000) = 1280. The structure was refined to R = 0.0486 and wR = 0.1287. There exist intermolecular hydrogen bonds in the crystal.
