At a recent meeting, the EU’s environment minister failed to make any progress on the labeling of genetically modified products and their traceability proposals. As the governments of the seven countries have all called for the approval of new GM products to wait for the passage of the proposal, it seems that a long period of approval bans have to continue at least until next year. Some ministers have argued that the formulation of new rules that allow the production and import of new GM products is unavoidable
