赵康公社位于山西襄汾县西南部,全公社有61200亩耕地。在深入开展农业学大寨群众运动中遵照毛主席关于“水利是农业的命脉”的教导大搞农田水利建设,经过几年的艰苦奋斗,水浇地扩大到31328亩但是,由于地下水源缺乏,遇旱水地仍不能保浇,公社党委为了进一步掌握农业生产的主动权,决心大力发展喷灌,向生产的深度和广度进军。
