Offshore oil and gas production platforms are in a destructive, corrosive marine environment and therefore require frequent maintenance to ensure long-term and safe production. Corrosion is distinguished by what happens to it on the water, the splash zone and the underwater part. This paper discusses the system of anti-corrosion coating above water surface, surface treatment, construction and maintenance, discusses the advantages and disadvantages of splashing area Nguyen coating, anticorrosion coating and increase the metal corrosion margin. This article focuses on the application of cathodic protection for underwater corrosion protection. In this discussion, the advantages and disadvantages of sacrificial anodes and impressed current systems for the protection of steel and reinforced concrete structures are also covered. This article also discusses the role of submarine monitoring and platform cathodic protection on well casing.
