海安会第67届会议(1996年12月2日至6日)以MSC/Circ.776批准了1974SOLAS规定的适用于机器处所和货油泵舱的固定式气体灭火系统的等效系统认可导则。在消防分委会第42次会议上(1997年12月8日至12日),对其进行了一些技术性改进,并起草了该导则修正案。海安会第69届会议(1998年5月11日至20日)批准了该导则修正案,即MSC/Circ 848,以替代MSC/Circ.776导则,并要求成员国政府在批准使用A类机器处所和货油泵舱的等效固定式气体灭火系统时应用经修正的1974SOLAS公约所规定适用于机器处所和货油泵舱的固定式气体灭火系统的等效系统认可导则。现将有关内容刊登如下:
The 67th Session of MSC (December 2-6, 1996) approved by MSC / Circ.776 the equivalent system approval guidelines for the 1974 1974 SOLAS fixed gas fire-extinguishing systems applicable to machinery spaces and cargo oil pump rooms. At the 42nd meeting of the Sub-Committee on Fire Services (December 8-12, 1997), some technical improvements were made to it and an amendment to the guideline was drafted. The 69th MSC meeting (May 11 to 20, 1998) approved the amendment to the guideline, MSC / Circ 848, to replace MSC / Circ.776 and to require member governments to approve the use of A Class machinery spaces and cargo pump rooms apply the equivalent system approval guidelines for fixed gas fire extinguishing systems applicable to machinery spaces and cargo oil pump rooms as required by the 1974 SOLAS Convention. The relevant content is published as follows:
