The authors studied the effects of LAK cells on the colony formation of granulocyte-monocyte-derived progenitor cells (CFU-GM). It was found that LAK cells and myeloid cells were cultured directly or incubated for 4h and had no effect on CFU-GM. After 8 and 18 hours of incubation, CFU-GM, the inhibition rates were 27.4% (P <0.01) and 50.5% (P <0.01) respectively; the non-activated cells had no effect.
