国际钢铁协会2014年8月19日日发布《绿色经济中的钢铁解决方案》系列手册第三本,名为《绿色经济中的钢铁解决方案:经济适用型住房》。该书列举钢结构住房所带来的经济、环境及社会效益。与用于相同目的的其他建筑材料相比,钢铁材料重量更轻,可以实现去实物化。由于材料用量的减少和交通运输的减少,整体建筑成本也得以降低。钢铁材料建造的空间可根据需要进行改造,也可增加容量,从而延长现有建筑的使用寿命。钢铁建筑组件可以精密切割或者场外预制,因此可尽量减少现场废弃物,生成的任何废钢都可在炼钢过程中直接循环回收。钢铁产品有助于提高能源效率和热舒适性。此外钢结构住房为那些需要避难所
On the 19th of August, 2014, the International Iron and Steel Institute released the third book titled “Steel Solutions in Green Economy: Affordable Housing” in the “Steel Solutions for Green Economy” handbook. The book lists the economic, environmental and social benefits of steel housing. Compared with other building materials for the same purpose, the steel material is lighter and can be dematerialized. The overall construction costs have also been reduced due to the reduction in material usage and transportation. Steel-built space can be retrofitted as needed, increasing capacity to extend the life of existing buildings. Steel building components can be precision cut or off-site prefabricated, so field waste can be minimized and any scrap generated can be recycled directly in the steelmaking process.
