《瞎猫头鹰》的蕴涵十分深厚,反映的主题是多层次的。《瞎猫头鹰》反映出作者心中一种“既希望又失望”的情绪。从一个层次上说,作品反映出作者希望现代伊朗能走出贫穷、落后、愚昧的泥坑,重新强大起来;然而,这种梦想在黑暗腐朽的现实社会面前彻底失落。从另一个层次上说,《瞎猫头鹰》不仅反映了现代社会中人的异化,更反映了作者在以西方物欲主义为代表的现实社会中,对人的精神依托的寻求。在这种寻求中作者希望用东方的传统精神重建人的精神价值,然而作者对这一希望又是十分绝望的。作者用象征主义的表现手法和意识流式的内心独白把萦绕在心中的绝望情绪表现得淋漓尽致。本译文根据伊朗德黑兰阿米尔·卡比尔出版社1969年的版本译出。
“Blind Owl” implies a very deep, reflecting the theme is multi-level. “Blind Owl” reflects the author’s mind a “hope and disappointment,” the emotions. On one level, the works reflect that the author hopes that modern Iran can emerge from the poverty, backwardness and ignorance of the mud and regain strength. However, this dream has been completely lost in the dark and decadent society. At another level, “blind owl” not only reflects the alienation of people in modern society, but also reflects the author’s search for spiritual support in the real society represented by Western materialism. In this quest, the author hopes to rebuild the spiritual values of the people with the traditional oriental spirit, yet the author is hopelessly hopeless again. The writer uses the expressionism of symbolism and the streamlined inner monologue to express the desperation feeling lingering in the heart. This translation is based on the 1969 version of Amir Kabir, Tehran, Iran.
