时效性是新闻报道的基本特性之一,新闻的可贵之处就在于它的“新”。随着时代的发展,信息的传播量与速度、受众对于信息的需求的广度与深度均空前地拓展了。需求的改变、信息处理技术的进步,在日渐惨烈的媒体竞争中,时效性正一步步地强化为即时性,即在事件发生的同时进行报道。在当前形势下,追踪报道,作为一种对进行中的事件全程报道的新闻形式正在越来越多地为各种媒体所运用。广播新闻节目在应对媒体竞争、更好地服务听众方面应积极采用这一报道形式。
Timeliness is one of the basic characteristics of news coverage. The beauty of news lies in its “newness.” With the development of the times, the amount and speed of information dissemination, the breadth and depth of the audience’s demand for information have been expanded unprecedentedly. With the changing needs and advances in information processing technology, in the increasingly fierce media competition, timeliness is being stepped up to immediacy gradually, that is, reporting on the occurrence of incidents at the same time. Under the current circumstances, tracking reports are increasingly being used by various media as a form of news coverage of an ongoing event in its entirety. Broadcast news programs should actively adopt this form of reporting in response to media competition and better service to their audience.
