英国“派”(PYE)集团由27个专业公司组成,主要经营通信、广播、仪器、电子元件业务。是英国主要的电子公司之一。“派”电讯公司是“派”集团中最大的一个公司,主要从事民用移动无线电通讯设备研究、设计和生产,已有三十二年历史。这次由该公司总裁约翰·斯图尔特·克拉克博士率领来我国访问,并和我国有关人员进行了技术座谈。座谈会自1978年10月10日至12日在北京进行。下面是这次座谈中“派”公司介绍的关于移动通讯方面的主要内容。
