江苏省扬州市信息中心是市政府为推动自身信息化建设而设立的一个新部门,受政府委托,负责政府各部门、单位的信息项目建设以及政府内网的建设和日常维护工作。扬州市信息中心原主任范荷香自2008年8月以来,利用承建政府信息工程之机向软件公司索要巨额回扣,在任职的一年多内个人受贿11万元、单位受贿52.45万元。此外,范荷香还利用项目增补计划之机,采用虚增采购价格等手段贪污项目资金4.5万元。
