Vidiadhar Surajprasad Naipaul (1932--) is a famous contemporary British novelist, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature. He wrote by travel and wrote about those third world countries that left behind his footsteps and who had just emerged from colonial rule after the Second World War. So far, he has written a total of 19 novels and travelogue about third world countries.
