Objective To study the morphology, distribution and ultrastructure of Cajal interstitial cells in mice gallbladder. Methods CD1 mouse gallbladder, methylene blue staining, immunofluorescence laser scanning confocal microscopy and transmission electron microscopy were used to observe the morphology, distribution and ultrastructure of Cajal interstitium in gallbladder. Results Clear cyrolactin Cajal stromal cells were seen in the gallbladder. Gallbladder Cajal interstitial cells mostly spindle-shaped, full body cell body, the cell bipolar slender protrusions or multi-pole protrusions were spots and (or) filamentous distribution in the gallbladder layer. Gallbladder Cajal stromal cells with typical ultrastructure are adjacent to smooth muscle cells and nerve cells. Conclusions There is network-like spindle-shaped Cajal interstitial cells in the gallbladder layer of CD1 mice, which may be related to the generation of gallbladder slow wave and may serve as an intermediary for the nervous system to control the movement of gallbladder smooth muscle cells.
