The rural population accounts for over 40% of China’s total population. In order to ensure that the rural population can enjoy medical benefits, the state enacted the “NRCMS” medical system in 2003. After years of development and practice, China’s “new rural cooperative medical system” has become more mature. Due to the generally low level of rural economic development in our country, there is still a certain gap between the per capita income level and urban residents. In terms of medication, it is easy to increase the economic pressure on farmers. On this basis, the introduction of less costly traditional Chinese medicine to participate in NRCMS will not only reduce the economic burden on farmers but also bring about good therapeutic effects.
