说哮喘与口腔健康有着密切的关联,很多人会说这是风马牛不相及。其实,哮喘患者比非哮喘者更容易长蛀牙。原因是治疗哮喘需要长期用药,哮喘治疗药物影响和改变口腔环境可能是患龋齿的“罪魁祸首”。哮喘患者容易继发龋齿,在国内外研究中早已得到证实。早在20世纪70年代就有学者发现,与没有哮喘的同龄人相比,患有哮喘的儿童和青少年口腔中的龋齿更多,患上牙龈炎的比例也更大。有研究显示,患有哮喘组的小孩和健康组小孩相比,患龋率更高,主要有以下4种原因:
