Biologists study the interrelations of species and their evolutionary processes, often based on the genes of the present species. This is because they are easy to take, and second, the structure is stable and complete, and the sequencing is easy. According to DNA analysis of humans and African gorillas, scientists deduce how African Australopithecus evolved into humanity four million years ago. But it is only speculation, because the animals and plants in the ancient fossils left little residual DNA.
