近几年来,随着水利建设事业的不断发展,在我国北方,利用种植水稻来改良盐碱地,也有了大面积的发展。理论与实践都证明了在健全的灌溉排水工程的基础上,盐碱地种植水稻,可以通过泡田洗盐和稻田灌溉水层的淹灌淋洗和排水作用,使士壤盐分迅速减低并使地下水逐渐淡化。同时,在盐碱地进行改良的当年,一般都可取得每亩300—400斤的水稻产量。因此,种稻改良盐碱地就成为一项我国所独创的、为群众所欢迎的措施。
