妈祖是中国南方最有代表性的民间信仰,妈祖信仰始于北宋初,经过八百年来的传播,已经由地方性宗教信仰发展成为世界范围的宗教信仰,妈祖文化已成为维系世界华人的精神纽带。 《心灯——妈祖的故事》可以说是一部应时之作,编剧兼导演杨路冰先生应台湾有关人士的诚挚邀请,鉴于闽台同根同源同言同俗,以适合歌仔戏表演的艺术特征及闽台大众的欣赏习惯为准则,创作了这一部值得探讨的妈祖题材的歌仔戏作品,为日益远播的妈祖文化献上一份厚礼。
