Improvements in processes such as elution, intermediate screening, and activated carbon regeneration. Recent developments in industrial production and successes have demonstrated that carbon slurry has been rapidly promoted in South Africa. Adsorption and regeneration are tending to be standardized, but there are various solutions for intermediate sieving (including pulp processing), elution and gold deposition. In order to actually optimize a plant’s processes, these options should be based on factors such as the size of the plant, the level of labor training and cost structure, and the chemical nature of the ore and production water. This article provides an economic model that aims to optimize the carbonization process by comparing the cost of adsorption stages of different sizes with the associated costs of the elution, regeneration and gold deposition stages. Taking into account economic factors, that the adsorption tank should be smaller, the carbon load tends to be lower.
