党的十八大报告提出,在2020年全面建成小康社会,进而在本世纪中叶基本实现社会主义现代化。这一“中国梦”的实现需要13亿民众共同为之努力奋斗,但用什么样的价值观才能凝聚起全体中国人的意志,达成共识?党的十八大给出了答案:社会主义核心价值观。十八大报告首次以12个词概括了这一核心价值观,倡导富强、民主、文明、和谐,倡导自由、平等、公正、法治,倡导爱国、敬业、诚信、友善,积极培育社会主义核心价值观。
The report of the 18th CPC National Congress proposed that a well-off society should be built in an all-round way by 2020 and that socialist modernization should basically be achieved by the middle of this century. The realization of this “China Dream” needs 1.3 billion people to work hard together for it. However, what kind of values should be used to unite the will of the entire Chinese people and reach a consensus? The 18th CPC National Congress has given the answer: Socialism core value. The 18th CPC National Congress reported for the first time a 12-word summary of this core value and advocated a prosperous, democratic, civilized and harmonious society. It advocated freedom, equality, justice and the rule of law and advocated patriotism, dedication, honesty and friendliness and actively nurtured the socialist core values.
