This study investigates the practice of the Task Based Language Teaching approach in a Chinese high school context. It is based on a lesson carried out in an English class which focuses on developing reading skills, critical literacy, writing skills along with past perfect tense. The practice finds that the Task Based Language Teaching approach serves as an effective and practical framework in reading classes, which helps develop a variety of skills and engaging class environment.
