农历七月七日,俗称乞巧节、七夕、七月七,相传为牛郎、织女双星相会之日,所以也称双星节。从东晋葛洪的《西京杂记》来看,七夕作为节日当始于汉代,节俗是向双星乞愿和穿针乞巧。晋代周处《风土记》中记述乞愿还有乞富、乞寿、乞子等内容,此后才以乞子和乞巧为主,故又称为巧节、乞巧节、女儿节等。是我国传统节日中最具浪漫色彩的一个,也是过去女人们难得欢聚嬉戏的节日之一,因而是姑娘们最为重视的日子。
