6月24日,国务院副总理、国务院抗震救灾总指挥部副总指挥回良玉向全国人大常委会报告前一阶段四川汶川特大地震抗震救灾及灾后恢复重建有关工作情况。报告指出,5月12日在四川省汶川县发生的特大地震,是新中国成立以来破坏性最大、救灾难度最大的一次地震灾害。报告称,这起历史罕见的地震灾害所造成的巨大破坏,举国震惊,举世关注。灾情主要包含以下五方面:一是人员伤亡惨重。截至6月23日,已确认因灾遇难691 81人、受伤374171人、失踪18498人,其中四川省遇难68669人、受
