Since 2009, all regions and departments of the province have conscientiously implemented the work arrangements of the provincial party committee and the provincial government, vigorously promoted all energy-saving and consumption reduction measures, and achieved remarkable results in saving energy and reducing consumption of industries above designated size. From January to September, the comprehensive energy consumption of industrial enterprises above designated size was 8.413 million tons of standard coal, down 5.77% from the same period of last year, and the energy consumption per unit of added value decreased by 12.34% over the same period of last year.
