The world’s first continuously variable wavelength UV microscope was successfully developed at Dudbury Laboratory in northwestern England. This is the result of a four-year cooperation between the British Council for Science and Engineering and the Netherlands Institute of Science and Technology, leading the world. This microscope, named Synchrotron Radiation for Con focal Optical Scanning (SYCLOPS), operates on a wide spectrum of UV wavelengths from visible light to 200 core moments and will provide researchers with Three-dimensional images of complex biological structures with excellent contrast.
