“HOPE”是Health opportuniy people every where的缩写,意思是“让全世界人人都享有卫生保健的机会”.它是美国民间健康基金会制定的一项规划.基金会的主要活动就是“HOPE规划”,规划包括开展现代医学教育和医务人员培训工作等等.七十年代开始,“HOPE规划”又增添了一项新的内容“国际医学教科书分配计划”,该计划的工作人员在美国国内,通过各种途径,为该计划提供无偿捐赠,然后将搜集到的图书无偿赠送给接受国的高等医学院校.浙江医科大学于1981年开始与美国民间健康基金会合作,到目前为止已收到13批赠书,共计近四千种,十几万册,主要为生物医学类图书.接受赠书以来,除补充我馆藏书外,其余的都根据“HOPE规划”的要求转赠给兄弟院校.一、赠书基本符合我国的实际需要我们挑选的基本原则是:出版期较近的,版本较新的(一般时差4-5年,少部分时差只有2年):如94年我们接受了200套第9版的《Anderson’s Pathology》(安德森病理学),该书是目前最新的版本.图谱、教科书:图书印刷质量高,特别是图谱,极受读者的欢迎.从接受赠书以来,一些图谱和教科书先后都通过教师的评选指定为学生的教材和参考书.热门图书:我们除了在生物医学类中挑选一些好书外.近几年,随着社会的需要,还挑选了不少经济、语言、计算机等类的?
