昼夜相对长度对植物开花的效应称为光周期现象。按植物对昼夜相对长度的不同反应,可分为长日照植物和短日照植物。红麻是短日照植物,一般说来,南麻北植,在北方相对较长日照条件下,营养生长旺盛,可比北麻品种增产2~3成。但南麻品种在北方大都不能开花结实,不能就地留种。为了解决这个问题,我们根据光周期理论,用短光照处理方法,研究南麻北方留种的具体措施和应用价值。试验方法以南选和7435为试材,研究影响南麻短光照处理留种产量的诸因素。如春、夏播短光照处理所需天数;开始短光照处理的适宜苗龄;苗床密度和打顶适期;短光照处理过程中喷矮壮素的作用。为了降低制种成本,也研究了苗床大小和遮光物多次利用等措施。
