我很高兴来到芝加哥,见证中国和芝加哥商品交易所(CME)这一重要的、开创性的合作。芝加哥商品交易所应该是中国寻求此类合作的最好伙伴,因为它是全球最优秀的期货交易所之一 ,也是国际金融市场金融产品和技术创新的领先者。中国在国际贸易体系中的重要性与日俱增,因此中国也应该拥有与其市场规模和地位相匹配的金融和经济工具。今天中国外汇交易中心和CME宣布达成了进一步开发货币衍生品市场的谅解备忘录,这无疑朝着正确方向迈出了重要一步。
I am delighted to be in Chicago to witness the important and groundbreaking cooperation between China and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). The CME should be China’s best partner for such cooperation because it is one of the best futures exchanges in the world and a leader in financial products and technological innovation in international financial markets. As China becomes more and more important in the international trading system, China should also have its own financial and economic instruments that match its market size and position. Today, China Foreign Exchange Trading System and CME announced that they have reached a memorandum of understanding on further developing the market for derivatives of currency. This undoubtedly marks an important step in the right direction.
