我们党提出构建社会主义和谐社会,是对我国改革开放和现代化建设经验的科学总结,是在新的国内外形势下提高党的执政能力、贯彻落实科学发展观、更好地推进我国经济社会发展的战略举措。促进社会主义和谐社会建设,关键在于全面贯彻落实构建和谐社会的主要任务。构建和谐社会的主要任务是:切实保持经济持续快速协调健康发展;切实发展社会主义民主;切实落实依法治国的基本方略;切实加强思想道德建设;切实维护和实现社会公平和正义;切实增强全社会的创造活力;切实加强社会建设和管理;切实处理好新形势下的人民内部矛盾;切实加强生态环境建设和治理工作; 切实做好保持社会稳定的工作。
