Guangdong Local History Theory and Work Seminar was held in Guangzhou from January 17 to January 18, 2000. Local history department leaders and local chronicles at all levels attended the conference. Local representatives from Shandong, Hubei, Hunan, Xinjiang and Guangxi, as well as scholars from Taiwan Province and Canada, were invited to attend the conference.
