初中学生在生理发展和心理特征上存在差异;对数学的兴趣和爱好,对数学知识的接受能力也存在差异,继续在教学中采用“一刀切”的教学方法,已根本不符合素质教育的要求。在我国现有的国情下,既要实施素质教育,同时又不能回避学生的升学问题,这是摆在广大教育工作者面前的一个尖锐的矛盾。“分层次教学”是一种符合因材施教原则的教学方法,它能面向全体学生,为学生的全面发展创造条件,有利于学生数学素质的普遍提高。为此,根据我从事数学教学工作的经验,对分层教学作粗浅归纳。
