应用物理学,顾名思义,就是以应用为目的的物理学专业。以物理学的基本规律、实验方法及最新成就为基础来研究物理学应用。应用物理学是高新技术发展的基础,是多种技术学科的支柱。其目的是便于将理论物理研究的成果尽快转化为现实的生产力,并反过来推动理论物理的进步。应用物理学虽然是以古老的物理学作为基础建立的,但它属于比较年轻的专业,近些年发展十分迅速。诺贝尔物理奖得主杨振宁教授认为,当前和以后的几十年内物理学的重心在于应用物理学。应用物理
Applied Physics, as its name implies, is a physics major for application. The basic laws of physics, experimental methods and the latest achievements based on the study of physics applications.
