佩斯北京于7月26日推出海波/刘建华双个展。海波是中国当代最重要的观念摄影艺术家之一,此次展览展出海波的代表作系列以及最新作品,《无题系列No 8》、《摄影日记》系列以及近期作品《盲人》系列都会与观众见面。《盲人》系列选取高墙之下的盲人算命先生作为拍摄对象,暗示一种人们对掌控命运的期待和面对真实的无助。海波的视线再次转向有关命运的主题:人们面对命运的未知的恐惧,对无法挽留的记忆的追随,对永恒的诉求以及随之而来且不可回避的伤感,刘建华展出的是他的两组新作,《一线之隔》
Pez Beijing launched Hyperion / Liu Jianhua’s two solo exhibitions on July 26. Haibo is one of the most important conceptual photographic artists in contemporary China. The exhibition features a collection of Haibo’s masterpieces and the latest works, Untitled Series No 8, the series of Photography Diaries and the recent series Blind, meet. The “Blind” series selects the blind fortune-teller under the wall as the object of filming, suggesting a kind of people’s expectation of controlling the fate and face the real helplessness. Haibo’s eyes again turn to the subject of destiny: people face the unknown fear of fate, the pursuit of unreserved memory, the eternal appeal and the consequent and unavoidable sadness that Liu Jianhua exhibited was his Two new works, “across the board”
