煤炭工业的用电量正如推测表明将不断地增加,这种增加既与经常作用的因素(如开采深度,涌水量,瓦斯析出量、围岩温度等等的增加)有关,又与目前及将来正在生产的矿井承担主要原煤产量这一因素有关。目前多数矿井的建改是不可能的或者是不合理的。这些矿井的采深还在不断地增大,采掘和井下运输、排水系统又日趋复杂,这会限制高效采掘设备的采用,使井下采煤用电量增长。未来露天矿煤的产量还要增大,剥采比将加大,因此露天矿的用电量将随之增大。所以经济合理地用电,采用减少电能损失的措施,制定科学的耗电额具有重要的意义。
